Civil Structural Construction Engineer

As an experienced Civil Structural Construction Engineer, would you like to manage the execution of a project civil, structural and architectural (CSA) scope of work for a global company renowned for operational and technical excellence?   

We’re currently recruiting for this challenging and rewarding role… which could be just right for you!      

A key member of the site team, you’ll be:
  • Identifying, evaluating and developing engineering solutions to technical problems, whilst managing the construction aspects of the project
  • Advising on all technical aspects of the project that have CSA elements
  • Reviewing civil and structural submissions from designers and subcontractors
  • Optimising construction methodologies and solutions to contribute to overall project delivery
  • Liaising with engineers, subcontractors, site team and customers on project delivery
  • Planning, developing and reviewing construction scope packages, including reviewing subcontractor packages
  • Evaluating risks for all operations, including reviewing subcontractor RAMS to ensure they are aligned with planned methodology and control of work standards
  • Assisting with the resolution of site technical queries
  • Assisting in the development of financial status reports
  • Reporting to the Site Manager
   You’ll need to have:
  • ONC in Civil Engineering
  • Experience in a Construction Engineer role and as a Civil Structural Lead
  • Minimum of 10 years involvement in management of field engineering and construction activities
  • CCNSG – Supervisor/Safety Passport training
  • IT skills
  • Planning, quality management, project management, and budget control skills
  • Demonstrable competence in construction techniques and associated installation methodologies
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent logical and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage multi-discipline teams of staff and subcontractors up to 100 people
  • Knowledge of quality control requirements
  • An understanding of the RIBA Plan of Work and its application in the stages of the planning, design and building process
   You’ll be at an advantage if you have:
  • HNC/HND or greater in Civil Engineering
  • Experience in the oil/gas/power sectors
  • Experience of managing more than 10 people
