Senior Project Engineer

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Project Engineer on behalf of our client, a leader in engineering design and contracting, to manage multi-disciplinary teams in delivering complex projects within the oil and gas, and petrochemical industries.
  
This is an exciting opportunity to join a company committed to innovative engineering solutions and excellence in project delivery, in a full-time permanent role based in Darlington.
  
You will be:
  

• Overseeing engineering resources and guiding project teams to deliver designs, technical drawings, and solutions in accordance with project specifications
• Tracking project performance, budgets, and timelines, while putting strategies in place to minimise risks
• Leading the resolution of multi-disciplinary technical challenges and ensuring compliance with contractual commitments
• Coordinating client interfaces and managing subcontractor scope, including costs
• Preparing project documentation such as execution plans and quality reports, ensuring alignment with company standards
• Offering technical support and monitoring health, safety, and quality procedures across all engineering activities
• Handling project communication, ensuring proper channels are followed, and maintaining up-to-date records

  
You will need:
  

• A degree/HND in an engineering discipline
• Career significant experience, with a substantial minimum time as a Project Engineer in engineering design or contracting environments
• Strong understanding of codes and standards in the international oil and gas, and petrochemical sectors
• Excellent communication, leadership, and team-building skills, with a strong commercial and risk awareness
