Location: Middlesbrough, North Yorkshire

Contract Type: Permanent / Full Time

We are seeking a Tank Inspector (Visual Inspections) to support our client, a major UK operator of COMAH-regulated sites in Teesside and the Thames area. In this full-time permanent position, you will conduct 3-monthly EEMUA 159 inspections across its storage tank assets.

Key responsibilities:
  
  • Conducting visual inspections of in-service tanks per EEMUA 159
  • Raising and reporting defects, assigning criticality levels
  • Liaising with Tank Assessors and operations for safe planning
  • Reviewing QA documentation and verifying completed works
  • Ensuring compliance with company safety and engineering standards  
As Tank Inspector (Visual Inspections) you will need:
  
  • ASME Level 1 Plant Inspector
  • EEMUA 159 Intro Course
  • Strong background in NDT methods (UT, MPI, RT, VT)
  • Experience on tanks, pressure vessels and pipelines
  • COMAH experience preferred
  • Confined Space and SCBA training
  • Full UK driving licence
