Instrument Technician

You’ll be working in a full-time, temporary role producing high-quality products, ensuring reliability and efficiency in all operations.
  
You will be a highly skilled and experienced time served instrument technician with high competency in instrument work. With a proactive mindset and a passion for continuous improvement and safety you will maintain, calibrate, and repair instrumentation systems essential to manufacturing processes.
  
Responsibilities:  

• Performing maintenance and calibration of instrumentation and control systems for optimal performance and compliance
• Identifying and troubleshooting instrumentation faults to minimise downtime
• Assisting in installing, commissioning, and validating new instrumentation equipment
• Adhering to health, safety, and environmental regulations, ensuring compliance with policies
• Maintaining records of maintenance, calibration, and repairs; preparing detailed reports
• Participating in continuous improvement initiatives and suggesting system enhancements
• Collaborating with engineering, production, and maintenance teams for seamless operation

Qualifications and experience: 

• A relevant technical qualification (for example HNC, HND, NVQ Level 3) in instrumentation, control, or a related field
• Proven experience as a time served instrument technician within a chemical manufacturing or similar industrial environment
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in the use of instrumentation and calibration tools
• Knowledge of process control systems and automation
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
