Are you a Materials Scientist or Metallurgist looking to apply your expertise in sustainable innovation?

Our client, a leading UK research institute, is seeking a Senior Researcher to join its Circular Economy Group. You’ll be working on high-impact R&D projects focused on the recovery and reuse of critical materials such as lithium and cobalt from industrial and consumer waste sources.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and deliver R&D projects focused on materials recovery.
  • Develop innovative processing techniques that support the circular economy.
  • Collaborate with clients, funders, and research partners.
  • Support the upscaling and commercialisation of sustainable technologies.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Materials Science, Metallurgy or related field.
  • R&D experience in materials processing or resource recovery.
  • Understanding of circular economy and foundation industries.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
