H&S Lead

Job: Health & Safety Lead 
Location: Darlington
Type: Permanent

Wolviston Group are supporting our client in their search for a Health & Safety Lead to join their growing team in Darlington.

As a key member of the site leadership team, you’ll be responsible for implementing and driving behavioural safety, maintaining ISO45001 and ISO14001 compliance, and embedding a culture of continuous improvement across operations.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading behavioural safety programmes
• Supporting ISO45001 and ISO14001 compliance
• Driving risk assessments and emergency response planning
• Delivering audits and ensuring effective close-out of actions
• Mentoring operational teams and influencing safe behaviours

Requirements:

• Experience in HSE roles within high-risk environments (e.g. COMAH, manufacturing)
• NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent)
• ISO45001 and ISO14001 Lead Auditor certification
• Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills
