Working Pattern: 4 on / 4 off - 12-hour shifts (Days & Nights)
About the Role
Wolviston Management Services are proud to be supporting a leading steel manufacturer in the search for a skilled Electrical Shift Engineer to join their Engineering Team
This is a key role within a high-performing department where you'll support the delivery of essential maintenance activities across a highly automated and heavy industrial facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver proactive and reactive maintenance across a wide range of electrical systems
- Support production through timely response to equipment faults and breakdowns
- Contribute to inspection, testing, and preventative maintenance strategies
- Operate in line with site safety protocols and statutory compliance requirements
- Collaborate with Day Engineering and Manufacturing teams to ensure maintenance excellence
- Maintain accurate records using modern computerised maintenance systems (e.g. SAP)
- Lead a team of 6 technicians
What We're Looking For
- A recognised apprenticeship and qualifications in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum HNC Qualified
- Proven experience in a heavy industrial setting, ideally within a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- A strong understanding of fault finding, breakdown recovery and preventative maintenance
- Excellent communication skills, a team mindset, and a commitment to continuous improvement
- Flexibility to work shifts and respond to the changing needs of the operation
