This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled electrical professional to join a busy and varied working environment, carrying out planned and reactive electrical maintenance, installations and improvement works across a range of facilities, including specialist cleanroom environments.

The successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring the safe, reliable and efficient operation of electrical systems and infrastructure, supporting both day-to-day maintenance requirements and wider project activities.

We are keen to hear from qualified Electricians who have a strong technical background, excellent fault-finding abilities and a proactive approach to health, safety and compliance.

The Role
As an Electrician, you will be responsible for delivering planned preventative and responsive electrical maintenance across site facilities, ensuring electrical installations and equipment remain safe, compliant and fully operational.
Working both independently and alongside other trades, you will undertake a variety of electrical maintenance, testing, repair and installation activities, including general and cleanroom lighting, fire alarm systems, RCD testing, minor electrical works and project installations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out planned preventative and reactive electrical maintenance across site facilities.
  • Maintain, inspect and repair general lighting and specialist cleanroom lighting systems.
  • Undertake RCD testing, electrical inspections and associated compliance checks.
  • Support the maintenance, testing and fault finding of fire alarm systems.
  • Complete minor electrical installation works, modifications and repairs.
  • Support electrical project installations, upgrades and improvement works.
  • Diagnose electrical faults and implement effective repairs to minimise disruption.
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams and technical specifications.
  • Ensure all electrical works are completed in accordance with current regulations, including BS 7671 and site safety procedures.
  • Carry out routine inspections to identify potential electrical faults, hazards and maintenance requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with maintenance teams, contractors and other trades to ensure work is completed safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections and testing.
  • Promote a positive health and safety culture, ensuring all activities are carried out to the highest standards.
About You
To be successful in this position, you will ideally demonstrate:
  • Proven experience working as a qualified Electrician within a commercial, industrial or facilities maintenance environment.
  • Recognised electrical qualifications, including the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).
  • Inspection and Testing qualification, such as City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent.
  • Experience undertaking planned preventative and reactive electrical maintenance.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical installations, fault finding, testing and repair.
  • Experience maintaining lighting systems, including specialist or cleanroom lighting, would be advantageous.
  • Knowledge of fire alarm systems, RCD testing and electrical compliance requirements.
  • Ability to interpret electrical drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a wider maintenance team.
  • A strong commitment to health, safety and maintaining high standards of workmanship.
  • A full UK driving licence is essential.

This is an excellent opportunity to join an established organisation offering a varied and hands-on electrical maintenance role.

The successful candidate will benefit from working across a diverse range of electrical systems and facilities, with opportunities to support improvement projects, specialist installations and ongoing site development.
